Title: Fran Miller's Coffee Cake

Yield: 1 Coffeecake

  Mix and beat:
1/2lbButter
1cWhite sugar
2 Eggs
1 25 cent carton sour cream [1/2 pint container]
  Add, sifted together:
2cFlour
1tsBaking powder
1tsBaking soda
1tsSalt
  Filling and topping:
1/2cBrown sugar
2tsCinnamon

Add flour mixture to the first mixture and beat well. Using a large angel cake pan, put half the batter in the pan and spread. Make a steusel of the brown sugar and cinnamon; put 2/3 over the batter in the pan. Add the rest of the batter and spread on the rest of the topping. bake ate 350 for 40-50 minutes.

Fran Miller was a friend of my mother's. I remember Mom making this cake when I was in high school in the early sixties. It was delicious.
